34th MARTIN LUTHER KING JR. CELEBRATION

Justice Before Comfort

The ultimate measure of a man (person) is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy.”

Each year, the City of Elgin Human Relations Commission takes great pride in presenting a weekend of activities celebrating the life of one of our country’s greatest civil rights leaders, the Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Check this page periodically for announcements regarding the 2019 celebration.
